Dry eyes : Preservative free artificial tears, oral omega 3's, and warm compresses. If not helping you can try punctual plugs and or restasis.

Preservative allergy: Allergy to preservative should be ruled out. Typically this manifest as itching and redness. Preservative free medication is available. If actually secondary to dryness, try different tear drops. All are variations of lubricant and water. Just need to find right combo. Perhaps a gel based drop such as systane gel would give more relief. Restasis and punctal plugs are alternatives. Flax oil.
