How best can glaucoma be managed, in addition to eye drop treatment to bring down ocular pressure?

Complicated issue: But the ways to bring down pressure involve medication (drops), rarely pills, and surgery (including laser procedures).

Annual testing: Annual visual field testing, nerve fiber layer imaging and stereo optic nerve photos are recommended to document and monitor the structure and function of the optic nerve which you are trying to protect by lowering the iop. The target pressure is the pressure which is needed to prevent progressive optic nerve damage and needs to be determined by performance of these tests.
