Several causes: Most common causes are corneal or lenticular abnormalities. In the absence of these according to you, i would consider reconsulting with your eye care professional.

Incipient cataract : Early lens changes typically cause glare and star bursts .However, at age 30 corneal pathology can cause visual symptoms. Tears are a treatment for dry eye but not a cure. Superficial punctuate keratitis seen in dry eye is rarely eliminated by artificial tears alone. Anti glare glasses may reduce visual symptoms due to ocular pathology but minimally.
