Basic skin care: Wash your face before bed with soap and water. Try to avoid long periods of oily skin. Realize at age 15 you are in the middle of puberty and mild acne is normal. If your acne is severe seek advice from a dermatologist.

Acne in teens: For mild acne, there are a number of good over the counter products one can try, such as benzoyl peroxide washes or creams. I usually do not recommend scrubs as they can lead to more breakouts. If the acne is severe, such as if there are many painful pustules or nodules, and particularly if there is scarring, a visit to the dermatologist is needed to help clear up the condition.
