PseudoSeptic Reactio: Synvisc (hylan g-f 20) has a rare side effect of pseudo septic reaction (inflammation and pain following administration). Not a serious problem, however you should see your physician to make sure that this is not a true septic reaction (i.e. Infection). In the future you should stay with orthovisc as I am not aware of any reports of this reaction to orthovisc.

Reaction to synvisc (hylan g-f 20): Synvisc (hylan g-f 20) has the highest adverse effect rate. One in particular is a pseudosepsis reaction which mimics an infection. If one product works well, then there's no reason to switch- go back to orthovisc.
