Can i have an orthovisc shot two months after getting the synvisc (hylan g-f 20) shot?

Too soon: I understand your request but you know that you may have to pay yourself, as the insurance will not pay that soon. I suspect this is the one injection and it is supposed to last. 6 months. Your physician may be able to get the prior approval but: the bottom line is that the one shot synvis in you did not last 6 months. Also if synvis does not orthovisc may not work either. Your assessment helps.

Orthovisc: If you don't get at least 6 months relief from synvisc (hylan g-f 20) injection, it is highly unlikely you would get much benefit from orthovisc injections. And unlikely your insurance would cover the expense that early after injection.
