Not a problem: A cornu may have come detached from the hyoid bone, and depending on position the muscles don' t hold it in place. If it gets more uncomfortable, ask your physician.

Relax and wait.: Unless you are having pain or difficulty with swallowing, or you have a problem with your voice or speaking, or you notice a mass in your neck, this is likely benign and either it will go away or you will stop noticing it. If it persists you should see an ear-nose-throat specialist.

SHCS syndrome: The stylohyoid complex syndrome describes the causative process of a set of symptoms that include clicking sound/sensation in the throat on swallowing, lateral neck or facial pain. An elongated styloid or hyoid bone or calcifications in the ligaments attached to these two bones that help to keep the throat open and not collapsed, can cause this syndrome. Check with an ENT specialist.
