A member asked:

I have two lumps on the underside of my jaw. if i put a finger either side of my adam's apple and go straight up i can feel them. they don't hurt or feel particularly tender. i'm curious if it's part of the anatomy or something i should get checked?

Those are lymph nodes you are feeling. It is a bit unusual to be able to palate the ones you are describing. but they are there. If they have been present more than a month, are enlarging, or you are not feeling well lately, they should be checked out. At your age most likely reactive nodes, but could be something more serious like non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Best to be checked out if there awhile.
