I get an average of 3-4 hrs of sleep a day.when i feel tired, i take a few more hrs in the evening. yet im still not productive and fall asleep. help?

Not enough sleep: At age 18, a person needs about 9 hours of sleep a night. Less than this on a chronic basis will limit productivity, attention, social activity, etc. If the quality of sleep is poor, see a professional trained in sleep medicine for advice and consultation.
