Not true: Your uterus is not involved in your hormonal production, metabolism or weight control.

No: Hysterectomy does not affect the metabolism. However age does, as you get older the metabolism slows and most people do gain weight. It seems that those who have had a hysterectomy (or other surgery) seem to blame the surgery for the weight gain. Most people gain weight with age - regardless of surgeries.
