Part. Hysterectomy: A "partial hysterectomy" generally means that the cervix was not removed. Having one ovary will still produce estrogen and progesterone in normal amounts, and when both drop just prior to what would be a "period", light bleeding will occur b/c the lining of the cervix has endometrial cells which will bleed slightly. This has nothing to do with having ovarian cysts.
