Its possible: Menopause has been shown to start around 2 years earlier than average (49 instead of 51) in woman with a hysterectomy. So, you still have plenty of time before that is an issue. The weight gain is more of a myth. If you eat healthy and exercise regularly you will significantly reduce any risk (hysterectomy related or not) of weight gain.
