Good: You should sleep how the retina surgeon recommended. It depends on whether a gas bubble was placed or not. The prognosis is usually very good with macula on detachment.

Depends/: This is something that depends on the location of the tear within the eye, the amount of gas bubble present, if any, and the height of the buckle. Your surgeon probably can tell you best.
