A member asked:

I had retinal detachment with macula off and had 2times surgery after my second surgery i can see some shadow in my upper and lower side vison . is it normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Retinal detachment ?: With true detachment of the retina, recovery of original visual ability is usually affected and is permanent. The surgery will serve to prevent further detachment in the eye affected, but a "shadow" or slightly diminished vision is an unfortunate result.
