A member asked:

If optho took a picture of my eyes, could she see retinal detachment of this? she said image shows macula, optic nerve, etc?

Since we have no clue as to the full evaluation by an "optho", can only assume a proper thorough examination, which would have revealed a retinal detachment if present. Best approach for you, is to ask the doctor whether your area of concern was evaluated, as she knows you by far the best.

Most retinal detachments start in the periphery of the retina. Standard photos showing macula and optic nerve do not necessarily photograph the far periphery. A dilated exam with binocular indirect ophthalmoscopy is the best way to look for a retinal detachment. Why do you think you have a retinal detachment? Ask ophtho if she examined for RD.
