No healthy way: No safe, healthy way to do this. You need to focus on changing your eating habits permanently, and beginning an exercise program to include cardio, strength training, and stretching. I just read dr lustig's book 'fat chance'-some good ideas. App 'my net diary' might be helpful as well. If you have any health issues, or are significantly overweight, see your doc before starting exercise.

Don't do it!: A good rule of thumb would to be to strive for losing 1 pound a week. It's as if you need to sneak weight off slowly so you don't "bounce" back to your current set point. Unfortunately, you have to follow the old rules == diet and exercise == to take off 50 pounds in a year. The rules you set for losing the wieght in the beginning must be rules that you can follow for a lifetime.
