A 35-year-old female asked:

my son is 14 months old his foot turns in really bad, when should we condider corrective shoes?

Turning in: Does the foot turn inwards when he is not standing? Or does his arch collapse when he is standing? If is in toeing of the feet correction could be achieve by serial casting which i would recommend you do as soon as possible before his muscles are developed. If the arch collapses, i would wait until he is 3 years old to see if he needs orthotics. See a podiatrist or child orthopod.

A lump : Is not normal, nor is pain so it's a good reason to visit the foot doctor. You may have a ganglionic cyst which is a benign cyst filled with jelly like fluid but without seeing it you can have something else....Go to the doc for a check up.

Infant vomiting: Vomitting infants can be serious as it would not take long for them to get dehydrated. Vomiting can be a sign of other illness such as upper respiratory infections, ear infections and not just GI illness, best to have infants evaluated as soon as possible.

My 17year old son just had a 12 lead ECG done it showed t wave inversions in ii, iii, avf & v4. Could the barium from an ugi series cause this?

Nonspecific: T wave inversion may be part of a normal ekg and has to interpreted by a doctor. Inverted t wave is normal in iii and sometimes other leads without meaning anything alarming. Have the doctor let you know what they think. The ekg interpretation can change with age as well so you need expertise to read them at this age.
