Bad Idea: It's never a good idea to inject Insulin without knowing what your blood sugar is at that time. You cannot tell if your Insulin is working (or the dose is correct) if you don't know what the numbers are doing after the injection or eating. Worst scenario, your blood sugar could go very low causing confusion, car accidents, coma and possibly death.

Risking everything: Uncluding missing high and low bs that will ultimate lead to poor diabetes control and risk of vascular complications in the long run. To put it simply, it's as dangerous as not giving Insulin !

Shotgun wedding: Diabetes is like a shotgun wedding. You didn't pick diabetes. It picked you. Now it's part of your life and it's a lot of work. Sometimes people get mad or tired and want a flirty vacation.. It's understandable but risky. Checking your sugar gives you control over diabetes. Manage your sugar and you manage your marriage. Good luck!

Complications: The risks of not checking: life-threateningly high/low blood sugar, progression of kidney failure until dialysis needed, progression of diabetic retinal disease (retinopathy) until blindness occurs, painful diabetic nerve disease (neuropathy). The benefits of not checking: fingers a bit less sore, i suppose, at least until neuropathy sets in. A shame to invite tragedy when it is so preventable.
