A member asked:

What causes a lot of pain in between the left scapula & spine? better with rest most of the time. can an mri of the tspine see the scapula? painful

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Kind of: An MRI is not intended to look at bones (for the most part). However, if it gets better with rest, it may be linked to a muscular injury, and this would be evaluated by ultrasound and mri.
