A member asked:

I have had a swollen occipital lymph node (confirmed by ultrasound, very palpable) for 5 months. what is this? it hasn't shrunk.

See a doctor: You have obviously had this examined by a doctor in order to have an ultrasound. Either follow their instructions, or if unsatisfied, obtain a second opinion. Generally these are benign, but if stony hard in consistency, fixed to underlying tissue, persistently tender or growing in size, biopsy may be necessary. See your doctor.
