Most of them: Many psychiatric problems can result in disturbing the natural ability to get to sleep or stay asleep. Anxiety disorders can disrupt an individuals ability to relax and allow the natural sleep process to occur. Clinical depression also disrupts sleep and can shorten total sleep time. Even major situational stressors can disrupt our natural tendency to fall asleep. Take care of your mental health.

Anxiety, depression: If you're dealing with anxiety or depression in bed, this will tend to disrupt your sleep. Worries commonly cause insomnia. Depression can also be associated with increased sleep and difficulties getting out of bed in the morning. Practicing good sleep hygiene can help to improve the quality of sleep.
