Would suspect that your sleep disruption is secondary to your "anxiety/ depression", but cannot fully exclude sleep apnea, as an example. Become proactive regarding your emotions, and start cognitive-behavioral therapy, which can give you coping skills. A sleep study and sleep hygiene program may also be needed.

The National Institutes for Health said using melatonin occasionally is fine but high levels have been linked to dementia, early mortality and other health issues. Please see a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in multiple types of psychotherapy for help with anxiety and a referral to a sleep study. Have a complete physical exam. A Psychiatrist can prescribe proper meds for sleep.
