Many : Many factors can cause loose fillings. In order to determine the reason, a radiograph and clinical exam would be necessary.

I : I am sure that your dentist did all that he could to design the restoration so that it stayed in place. Most times the reason a filling comes out is due to recurrent decay. Regardless, you have to see your dentist right away for a proper diagnosis, not just our speculation on line. Best of luck, dr. Zev kaufman.

I : I agree with the above responses. An additional reason for a loose filling is a fracture of the tooth or filling.
