I have a crown on a molar that is 27 years old. last year my dentist put a small filling in between the space of the gums and crown. the filling just fell out. should i get a new filling or do i need a new crown?

New Crown: Average life of a dental restoration is about ten years. A filling in an open margin is just a patch and will not seal that defect for long. You've gotten your money's worth, now it's time for a new restoration.
