What are possible complications from septoplasty? i'm about to schedule a septoplasty. my surgeon keeps saying complications are rare. i get that, but i'd just like to be prepared in case i'm one of the rare ones.

Risks : Risks include but are not limited to anaesthetic related complications, bleeding, septal perforation, over-resection that can lead to saddle deformity (loss of dorsal support), synechia formation (internal scar bands), rarely alteration in smell acuity, and temporary numbness and tingling in the upper central dentition.
