As : As drs edderai and mcleod stated, each case is slightly different. It may be that the position of that bridge is fine, and that it will act as an anchor during your invisalign treatment. Or, if those teeth need to also be moved, then the bridge may have to be replaced. Consult with an invisalign provider who will be able to better advise you since he can see your dentition and personally discuss your objectives and different alternatives.

Teeth : Teeth that are part of a bridge can't be moved. You will need to be examined by an orthodontist to determine that. If the bridge is in a position that is satisfactory, then you can proceed with treatment, being able to move everything else around it. Good luck!

There : There is no contraindication to having invisalign orthodontic treatment and crown and bridgework in your paticular case. However, the teeth will need to move as a whole and not individually. It is important that your orthodontist indicate which teeth are connected in your bridge work when submitting your perscription. If you are planning on having new restorative work done after the teeth are aligned you might want to discuss with your dentist cutting the exhisting bridge or temproizing the teeth you need moved before starting your invisalign. Once cut or temporized the orthodontist can treat each tooth as an individual unit and move it into the best possible position. You would be an excellent canidate for invisalign even if you only have a little bridgework on the upper left side so go for it. Good luck. Lynann mastaj, dmd.

When : When teeth are bridged they act as one large orthodontic abutment if the roots are healthy. That means that they may move at little but in the scheme of things they will be more like and anchor. Other individual teeth might move more easily. The orthodontist who designs your treatment will be able to explain and calculate how your bridge will effect you treatment. It should not however preclude the possibility of having your teeth straightened. Dr neil mcleod dds dentistry that lasts - quality that counts.

The : The interference is directly related to the teeth positions and the treatment you will be receiving, meaning knowing which teeth will require movement and which not, is very difficult to determine via cybernetic vehicles. Your best bet at this time is to request a consultation at a dental center that treats orthodontics with invisalign, and they will better assist you. Good luck.

Cross the bridge: Although the bridge is unlikely to be moved during treatment, invisalign might yet be applicable to your situation. Seek evaluation by your licensed orthodontic specialist for their opinion on your specific situation.

Usually not interfer: If the teeth in yor bridge are in a god position then invisalign can be done leaving the bridge where it is. Invisalign will not move yor bridge. Howeverif the teeth in thebridgeneed to be, over the you are looking at a new bridge or replacing the missing tooth with possibly an implant. Talk to the invisalign provider and they will guide your treatment.

Impossible: Impossible to tell over the computer whether you are a candidate for Orthodontic treatment of any kind. Fixed bridges connecting 2 or more teeth cannot be readily moved with any type of Orthodontic appliance. Know that braces are the gold standard, twice as effective and less expensive than clear aligners. See a qualified Orthodontic Specialist for an opinion...initial exam usually free.
