About
Bio
"I love being an orthodontist"! Ever since I was in the sixth grade I wanted to change the world one smile at a time. I grew up in Holyoke Massachusetts and had an expander, braces, extractions and a retainer 40 years ago! I was an accomplished athlete and inducted into the National Honor Society and graguated top in my class. I attended Wheaton College and continued my athletic, academic and artistic passions. Immediately after I graduated from college I attended The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. In dental school I was vice-president of my class, I worked and participated in various community outreach programs. One of the best experiences of my life was when I did an internship then later a general practice residency at York Hospital. I obtained my post-graduate speciality training in orthodontics from Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. This three year program exposed me to academic courses at UPENN, orthognathic surgery in the OR, research and an outstanding orthodontic program at the Maxwell S. Fogal Department of Orthodontics. I am most proud of the fact that I was able to start and finish over 50 cases, participate in research projects, publish articles and become American Board of Orthodontics eligable. I enjoy the art and science of creating beautiful smiles for children and adults of ALL ages. My husband is a periodontist and a prosthodontist from UPENN and we have two beautiful and talented children. I still enjoy sports, skiing, gardening and I am passionate about cooking and creating...well anything! But most of all, I am very fortunate to have my faith and my family and a wonderful job being an orthodontist. LynAnn M. Mastaj DMD
