Invisalign : Invisalign and traditional brackets with wires are two ways of orthodontically moving teeth. In general, there is a bit more control and the ability to fine tune your treatment, during treatment, using traditional brackets and wires. There is also no compliance issue since the traditional braces are cemented to your teeth and are not removable. That being said, there are many, many cases that can be treated just as well using invisalign. The patient needs to wear the aligners as directed or the teeth will not move. The beauty is that the aligners are removable, so its easier to clean your teeth. Speak to your dentist or orthodontist that will be treating you and ask them for an explanation of your problem and why one treatment may be preferable over the other.

Invisalign : Invisalign is an excellent tool to straighten teeth, however it definitely has significant limitations in comparison to conventional braces. You need to consult with an orthodontist to help you make a decision which technique will work the best for your teeth.

Great : Great question! patients ask me this all the time and i tell them that it is entirely different with every individual case. In addition, patient cooperation and lifestyle also play a part in making the right decission. In my practice, we treat braces and invisalign as equals. Because more difficult cases can now be treated with invisalign and traditional braces have become more high tech and speedier, deciding which is better involves discussing the options with your orthodontist. If you are a highly motivated consciencious individual and you are concerned about aesthetics invisalign is a perfect choice. Traditional braces puts alot of the responsibility in the doctors control. Visit invisalign websites and compare to dammon websites for more detailed information. Good luck.

As : As previously mentioned by dr.Theodore davantzis both orthodontic systems can be used obtaining iqual results although more control could be exerced with with the traditional braces. Motivation determination of the patients is important with invisalign or clear correct systems, because you control so to speak the treatment and it's progress. There are certain cases of malocclusion that will be treated with a more predictable result in terms of the timming in obtaining the final results. You should consult with your treating dentist the pros and cons according your expectations and ability to commit to either having conventional braces or invisalign, clear correct systems. Good luck!

Choices: Both can provide you with a beautiful smile and each have their pros and cons. Invisalign will likely cost you more and take longer, but as an adult you may prefer how it looks while you are in treatment.

Seek advice: Everyone is different. Orthodontic treatment is a service, not a commodity. Braces and clear aligners do some things the same, but not others. Invisalign is more esthetic. Braces are more than twice as effective. My best advice is to have an examination (often no cost) with a qualified orthodontic specialist, the practitioner who knows best how to evaluate your unique problem and best rx.

Braces: At best, invisalign is worthy of decent correction of mild to moderate cases, but lacks the inherent physical capabilities that exist with common orthodontic braces. Each case is different, as are the clinicians who provide the service; but all other things being equal, braces are more capable and quicker.

Braces: Invisalign cannot control the movement of the teeth in all three planes of space. No recognized refereed journal (american journal of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics nor angle orthodontist) has ever published a case of invisalign. None have ever passed the review process. Invisalign is a very expensive way to do small imprecise movements of the teeth.

Depends!: Invisalign has its pros and cons. Normally achieving the same goals of regular braces with invisalign takes longer (for the simple fact that they are removable and when they are not in the mouth, they are not working). Sometimes and in challenging situations, treatment time gets impossibly long or we have to cut corners or downgrade our goals to only straight teeth, ignoring tons of other details

Braces/Clear Aligner: Which is better is a tough question. This all depends on the severity of your malocclusion. The simpler the correction, the more apt that clear aligners will be effective. My personal opinion is that fixed braces are more suited to the more complicated maolocclusions due to the difficulty with certain tooth movement in clear aligners.
