What is the recovery process like after having a benign lung nodule removed?

It can vary: With newer developments in this type of surgery, the procedure can often be done through a tiny "keyhole" incision called thoracoscopy. Patient often goes home one day later. The most important thing you can do to aid recovery is to perform the deep breathing exercises that you will be instructed to do.

Depends: If thoracoscopic wedge resection, usually 1 or 2 nights in hospital, and 1-2 weeks at home ... If thoracotomy and/or lobectomy, then up to a week in the hospital and several weeks to a few months at home ...;.
