I got an ear infection went to the doctor they gave me antibotics the pain is mostly gone but i hear a ringing noise and it feels like there is fluid on my ear how long does this take to go away and is this normal with an ear infection

Ringing : Ringing can be a sign of residual fluid or a more serious nerve loss. You will need to have a follow up with an examination and a hearing test.

Persistent fluid: It is not unusual to have persistent fluid in the middle ear after suffering an ear infection despite appropriate antibiotic treatment. It may take a number of weeks for the fluid to completely resolve. For most adults, it can take up to a month. If fluid remains persistent for over a month, the fluid should be removed, which is most commonly done with a small incision in the eardrum.
