Chin : Chin and neck liposuction typically involves removal of fat between the skin and platysma muscle, the outer most layer of muscle over the front of the neck. The thyroid lies deep to this under two more thin strap muscles. Unless open liposuction (larger incision that allows direct visualization of theplatysma) or a neck lift is performed, these muscle layers are not violated. I would avoid the procedure for 6 months after the thyroid procedure to allow the scar tissue to soften. If the procedure is done too soon, it may increase risk of bruising and irregularity.

It makes difference: Te are surgery in different tissue planes. Sometime the scars can make e lipo harder but should not make a big difference. Consider smart lipo.

It shouldn't: Once the post operative healing is complete, and the tissues are soft and flexible, the procedure may be done.

Doesn't : Once you are completely healed from your thyroid surgery and your hormones are balanced, you could have chin liposuction if you are a good candidate for it.

No different: Liposuction is performed above the neck muscles, thyroid surgery is performed underneath (deep to) the neck muscles. There are no problems with performing liposuction after thyroidectomy, but do select a surgeon expericenced in facial plastic surgery. Good luck!
