It : It is rare for pain after cosmetic surgery to last for weeks. Following chin liposuction my typical patient will take narcotic pain medication for 24-36 hours and then use tylenol (acetaminophen).

A few weeks: Pain is variable from person to person. Some patients have high pain tolerance some don't. The pain is at its most the first few days then gradually subsides in week or two. However, the whole area stays sensitive to touch or pressure for a few more weeks until it usually gets back to normal at 3 to 6 months.

Few Days: Every patient has a different experience when it comes to discomfort after surgical procedures. Generally, liposuction of the chin area should be associated with a few days of discomfort. Best wishes.

That's long.: Liposuction pain is similar to the muscle aches experienced after working out. Normally, after a few days the pain has resolved. Pain lasting for weeks is unusual, and they need to continue close follow-up with their plastic surgeon.
