Y : Y es, it is common for us to recommend stopping blood thinner medication before surgery. Your surgeon should have specific recommendations depending on your history. I've placed a link to my general preoperative instructions below so you can see some examples of medications that i usually recommend patients hold around the time of surgery.

Prior : Prior to any procedure your surgeon should review you medications with you; some will be continued and some will be stopped. Your surgeon will know the requirements for your anesthesia and get you ready for the procedure. Best wishes dr. Peterson.

Yes: Your surgeon will give you all the pre operative instructions that are routine and some that will apply to you in particular. Just follow the instructions.
