A member asked:

Hi my mother had got the ct scan for chest report summary: bilateral hilar adenopathy (non specific?) what does it mean? and how can we cure?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sarcoidoisis?: There are several causes for enlargement of the lymph nodes in the region in which the trachea (air tube) divides into main stem bronchi (smaller air tubes). Sometimes this can be caused by a condition known as sarcoidosis, but this may not be what your mom has. This should be discussed with her doctor at length and if you are not satisfied and haven't seen a pulmonologist, request a consult.
