Mom had ct chest after having bronchitis showed mild mediastinal & left hilar lymphadenopathy,they did biopsy it was neg, no symptoms,why biopsy again?

Biopsy: I do not know when the initial biopsy was done. However, although the nodes may be negative on the initial biopsy if the hilar nodes remain swollen or are enlarging that may warrant another biopsy.
