Pain specialist: Unfortunately, there are some disease processes like neuromyelitis optica which have limited treatment options. If you are still suffering from symptoms after 2 years, you need to have a fellowship trained pain specialist evaluate you for treatment options to maximize your outcome. You're not far from raleigh/durham and an anesthesiology pain program at duke. Seek them out.
