Time 2 see OB doctor: The cause might be preterm labor. The step that should be taken in simple. A woman not yet at term with pain is best seen on labor and delivery for examination of her and monitoring for contractions and the fetal status. Calling the office to let them know a patient is on the way is nice but not necessary if there is so much pain.
