Sometimes : Sometimes it can be very difficult to know the difference between urine leakage and amniotic fluid at the end of pregnancy - often the only way we can tell is to look at the fluid under the microscope. Because you are 36 weeks and have been having contractions, you should give your ob/gyn doctor a call. They may either want to see you in the office, or may send you to the hospital to be checked. Either way, you should be checked sooner rather than later. Congratulations!
