Fetal kidneys: Mild dilation of the kidneys is common in fetuses and generally is not serious. However more extreme degrees can indicate a condition that needs more careful medical attention. So it depends on the degree of dilation whether to become concerned or not. I recommend that you call and ask for more information from your doctor's office or discuss in detail at your next visit.
