Probably not: Although the recomendations for anticoagulation after the first episode of unprovoked DVT are that someone not be on blood thinners for life, it is possible that your doctor might recommend something different from that. Everyone is different and the circumstances surrounding developing a DVT are sometimes unique. You doctor's recommendation will depend on your specific circumstances.
