DVT's and pregnancy: The amount of Warfarin is a prophylactic dose and is not considered high, and may have nothing to do with a miscarriage. Pregnancy is a strong producer of fibrinogen which can produce blood clotting and may be a cause of miscarriage. Seeing a maternal-fetal medicine expert in a University Hospital setting is indicated when considering and managing what will be considered a "high risk" pregnancy.
