Need clarification: It is important to get clarification from your doctor on the diagnosis. A solid mass would not be ruptured. A cyst could rupture but it would not be solid. If it were ruptured it would no longer be visible on sonogram. A hysterectomy is the removal of the uterus. This surgery would not address a problem in the ovary. An oophorectomy or cystectomy is the removal of the ovary or a cyst.
