Not Good: A ruptured dermoid (teratoma) is not good because the contents (sebaceous material, tissue, cartilage, teeth, etc) can cause a chemical peritonitis which can cause pain, inflammation, & scarring (bad "juju"...). A ruptured endometrioma is not as bad since it's mainly old blood which can resorb although it too can cause scarring. Teratomas do have malignant potential & should be removed; take care.
