I just finished a 7-day course last thursday of 1000mg of cipro for uti infection. i noticed a little burning this am and took avo test. slightly positive for leucocytes and negative for nitrites. can i clear this on my own? hate cipro!

YOU MIGHT HAVE NOT: Seen the full effects yet. It is not unusual to still see leuks in the urine soon after a complete course of antibiotics. Just push water intake, stay on avo and monitor symptoms closely.

Not likely: I recommend you follow up with your md to repeat a urine dip in the office and a urine culture. Typically, urinary tract infections need antibiotics to clear them.
