Rhinoplasty surgeon: Good question . There are plastic surgeons who are expert in rhinoplasty and there are ENT surgeons who do very good rhinolplasty. Ask your doctor to guide you to a competent nose surgeon.

Research : Nowadays there are more avenues for obtaining information about doctors than there ever have been before. You can begin by asking friends or acquaintances who are happy with their rhinoplasty results for a referral, and use the web to look at the doctor's results, reviews and qualifications. After finding a competent, qualified surgeon it all comes down to who you feel most confident with.

Ask around: Check with your doctor, or friends and family for a nose specialist. If not go to aafprs.Org or other professional websites for plastic surgeons and use the physician locator.

Research: Obviously, you can research the web for surgeons, but asking around might give you even better info. When you do find a surgeon or two to work with, ask to see before and after pictures and make sure you agree with that surgeon's aesthetic ideal.

Best is to see work: The best way to find any surgeon is to get a recommendation from that surgeons patients. You want to actually talk to people that have been operated on in the case of cosmetic surgery you want to actually see their noses to make sure that you are comfortable with what that surgeon can do. Most cosmetic doctors will have lots of pictures of their good results but you want to talk to patients.

Referral: Best is referral by a patient who had one and is happy. The internet can help, or get a referral by your primary care doctor. Go to aafprs.Org and use the physician finder for a local facial plastic surgeon.
