Is it normal to have fluid accumulate in your foot after a foot surgery?

Yes: All surgery has a component of swelling to it while healing.

Swelling: Is common after most surguries. It is part of the normal healing process. Ideally, one would want it to be kept to a minimum. Follow, your docs post op protocol, and direct any questions specific to your surgery to them.

Fluid: Yes - it is a normal part of healing. However your surgeon wants this to be at a minimum. See him/her for assistance with this.
