Avulsion fracture: Of what? 5th met base? Any bone where a soft tissue structure attaches to it can have an avulsion fracture. Bone should heal in 6-8 weeks, if not you have to reconsider your treatment plan. Consider bone stinulator...Consider checking your vitamin d levels....X-rays need to be examined. If conservative treatment fails, surgery should be contemplated.

Avulsion: As said it should be healed by now. A bone stimulator might help but there maybe residual pain from the tendon as well. Certainly revisit your treating physician.
