What kind of tooth paste do you use on a 9 month old?

Baby toothpaste: Baby toothpaste is Fluoride free & available from many sources.Babies tend to swallow this mix & the Fluoride content of adult paste is high enough to cause fluorosis (wavy lines & stains in developing teeth) if used over time. You can also use baking soda or a wet cloth in the beginning.

Non-fluoride paste: You can use any of the Fluoride free toothpastes. It will usually say on the box, "safe to swallow" and will contain xylitol which is an alternative to Fluoride that also helps prevent cavities.

Baby tooth paste: Baby tooth paste has very little to no flouride. This is because babies tend to swallow the tooth paste which could lead to flouride poising.

Non fluoride: Non fluoridated is best...There are several brands. Try oragel toothpaste, children seem to like the taste.
