Baby toothpaste: Baby toothpaste is Fluoride free & available from many sources.Babies tend to swallow this mix & the Fluoride content of adult paste is high enough to cause fluorosis (wavy lines & stains in developing teeth) if used over time. You can also use baking soda or a wet cloth in the beginning.

Non-fluoride paste: You can use any of the Fluoride free toothpastes. It will usually say on the box, "safe to swallow" and will contain xylitol which is an alternative to Fluoride that also helps prevent cavities.
