What is a holisitic dentist?

The concept is: In a dental practice the dentist believes that all aspects of people's needs, psychological, physical and social should be taken into account and seen as a whole. Not just treating and filling a cavity, but diagnosing and eliminating the cause of that cavity as well as addressing the social and psychological implications that may contribute to or be affected by your oral disease.

No such thing: There is no such thing. This is a b.S. Term made up by people as a marketing ploy to attract a certain niche of patients. They may say things like they use mercury free fillings (most dentists do or give you the option), etc.

See IAOMT: Take a look at the web site for the international academy of oral medicine & toxicology... www.iaomt.org there are many well respected dentists who belong to this organization and are accredited and committed to following their protocols.

Holistic approach: Like all holistic practitioners, holistic dentists will look at your dental health in the context of you as a whole person & understands how dental issues can effect the rest of you. Holistic dentists emphasize non-toxic dental materials & are usually experts at how to safely remove mercury & other toxic materials from your teeth.
