Are there good toys to encourage my son to speak more?

Books: There are many picture books along with the alphabet. Play with the pictures...First show him then ask him where the picture is the ask for the name of the picture(apple, boat etc) learning is done playing games. Picture books and real items are fun to play and teach with.
